In more recent collaborations, Chuck has released a number of highly acclaimed CDS and has played with many renowned artists, including Dave Brubeck, Bela Fleck, the Woody Herman Orchestra, Ernestine Anderson, Eddie Daniels, Dave Holland, “Cream” drummer Ginger Baker, Bennie Maupin (Herbie Hancock), Peter Frampton, David Benoit, Kenwood Dennard, Richie Cole, Larry Coryell, Terell Stafford, Ernie Watts and principal members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Detroit Symphony and Albany Symphony.

On a personal note, Chuck had the honor of becoming good friends with Dave Brubeck and Chuck’s CD tribute to Dave (“Lambinizations II: A Tribute to Dave Brubeck”) brought enthusiastic accolades from the maestro (see quote above).

In addition to being a professional touring musician and prolific composer, Chuck is also an accomplished and creative music educator.  He has taught workshops and clinics across the United States, as well as in Japan, Singapore and Russia, where he taught a class in composition and improvisation to students from ages 6-70 and enjoyed the novel experience of doing the entire class via the assistance of a Russian translator.

In early 2014, I had the great pleasure of meeting, and working in Denver with amazing pianist Chuck Lamb. From the very first downbeat, it immediately was clear to me that he’s developed a unique approach, and has much talent not only for performing, but also as a composer.”

Bennie Maupin (woodwinds, Herbie Hancock)

A very proficient pianist and expert soloist. His original compositions are varied and exuberant. His work is exemplary.” – Downbeat

"Chuck lamb is a wonderful composer, arranger and pianist.
His compositions have never failed to galvanize my spirit. His arrangements are well thought out and powerful. His virtuosic piano playing is matched by his wonderful improvisational creativity.

Some of my most fulfilling music experiences have been with Jaco, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Gil Evans and my experiences playing with Chuck have been no less exhilarating."
- Kenwood Dennard

Chuck Lamb brings the audience to a standing ovation with the performance of his original composition ‘Prime Directive.’  His performance ignited the other musicians in his group.

Lamb sweeps together a stunningly comprehensive approach to the piano. He can play with the elegance of Teddy Wilson and positively roar with the most leonine gestures. We joked after the concert, ‘So this is the man that plays the universe!’ …No exaggeration really, for his technique is enormous and his imagination seems to know no bounds!” Birch Creek Performance Review

“Chuck Lamb carries on Dave Brubeck’s legacy with style and grace.”Audiophile Review
