"The British Invasion"

Doublebill with Brian Auger's Oblivion Express
  and Savoy Brown

There's no mistaking the influence of British blues and rock on the world of music in the 60's and 70's.  From The Beatles, to The Rolling Stones, to Eric Clapton, to John Mayall, the "British Invasion" was a major force in forming the music of the era.  Two of the most innovative and deeply roots entrenched babds of the British blues and rock scene were the legendary Brian Auger's Oblivion Express and Savoy Brown.  These two famous groups from England have their marks on the music scene forever, and will rock the house and create excitement for festivals and theatres wherever they play together.

Now based in the U.S.A, both groups are readily available throughout North America for festivals and theatre engagements.

Brian Auger's Oblivion Express
BAOEThe legendary Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express has returned.  The famed B3 and keyboard player, has created a distinct voice that combines jazz, rock, soul and funk, that is clearly recognizable to his millions of fans.  With over 30 recordings to his name and lengthy stints on the RCA and Warner Bros. labels, Brian Auger has accumulated a Grammy Nomination, 10 albums charting in Billboards Hot 100, a #1 single, and the title of “The Godfather of Acid Jazz”.

Brian’s bands over the years have featured Rod Stewart, Long John Baldry, Julie Driscoll and even Jimi Hendrix. In addition Brian has recorded with great luminaries as The Yardbirds, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Eric Burdon and Down To The Bone.

The new incarnation of the Oblivion Express is a family affair featuring Karma Auger on drums and Savannah Auger on vocals, who live up to the Auger name and make the Oblivion Express smoke.

Rave reviews and demands for return engagements follow this artist wherever he goes.

Savoy Brown
SavoyBrownOriginally called the Savoy Brown Blues Band, this group can rightly take credit for cutting the farewell anthem of the 1960s British blues boom, in the form of a modern blues aptly titled "Train to Nowhere."  Within four years of the bands formation, however, they had become a major league live act in America.

For over thirty years, founding member Kim Simmonds has been synonymous with "Legendary British Blues Guitar," mentioned in the same breath as Eric Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor in the hierarchy of England's best guitar slingers from the 60's golden era of British Blues.

Kim started his career in London, England in 1966 by forming the group Savoy Brown and since has enjoyed international fame. He has been featured on the front cover of Guitar Magazine, made over three dozen records and performed around the world. Kim's records with Savoy Brown have sold millions with albums such as Looking In and Hellbound Train reaching the Billboard top forty charts. In 1995, a two CD boxed set, "The Savoy Brown Collection" released by Polygram Records, chronicled his and the bands astonishing career.
