Halie Loren Halie Loren - The first thing you notice is that voice: gorgeous, graceful, and somehow earthy and ethereal at once. It is an instrument perfectly matched to the songwriting talents of the artist who channels it — Halie Loren. Her music conveys the wonders of the invisible world: wounded defiance, stubborn love, hard-earned hopefulness.

With purity of tone and rare interpretive prowess, she brings a fresh and original perspective to time-honored musical paths, channeling her innate understanding of connectedness across musical boundaries to forge bonds with diverse audiences in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Badi Badi Assad - Brazil’s Badi Assad is one of the most innovative, passionate and talented Artists of all times and is lauded as one of the world’s most unique and cross-transcendental performance artists of this generation. She transcends traditional styles of her native Brazilian music with a mixture of pop, jazz and world/ethnic sounds from around the world.  She combines an extraordinary guitar talent, a unique mouth percussion, beautiful singing, combining a rhythmic body movement, to create an exciting, fresh music sound, and leaving spectators… simply… BREATHLESS. Indeed, watching Badi perform is like witnessing a spiritual phenomenon. How she does what she does all at once, and delivering an extraordinary performance, is quite unbelievable.

Ken Peplowski Ken Peplowski - I consider myself an interpreter of material - if something interests me, I try to put my own spin on it, without thinking or worrying about playing in any particular style. Basically, I like a challenge, I'm a sucker for a good melody, and I love playing for audiences, big or small."

And he has certainly achieved these goals, be it in small clubs, the Hollywood Bowl, headlining in Las Vegas, the Newport Jazz Festival, pops concerts, European festivals´ clubs, or at home in NYC doing everything from playing on the soundtracks to Woody Allen movies, to taking on the role of music director for interactive French and Italian cookbooks.

The litany of musicians Ken has collaborated with includes Mel Torme, Leon Redbone, Charlie Byrd, Peggy Lee, George Shearing, Madonna, Hank Jones, Dave Frishberg, Rosemary Clooney, Tom Harrell, James Moody, Cedar Walton, Houston Person, Steve Allen, Woody Allen, & Erich Kunzel.

Resurrection of Screamin Jay Hawkins The Resurrection of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins
The great blues singer, crazy man, original shock-rock performer and the songwriter who penned the classic, “I Put A Spell on You,” died in 2000. Now bluesman Mike Armando, who was Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ guitarist in the 1970s, has recreated the legendary shows with a new group, appropriately called, The Resurrection of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. This show is an authentic recreation and people attending will think they're seeing Screamin’ Jay resurrected.

Screamin’ Jay grunted, groaned, snarled and even moaned with intestinal pain during performances. Sometimes he would appear in aboriginal dress, with a bone through his nose and casting voodoo spells. He was always accompanied by Henry, his staff topped with a skull.

The band will perform the well-known compositions like
“I Put A Spell on You,” “Constipation Blues,” “Alligator Wine” and lesser-known nuggets like “Feast of the Mau Mau.” Although some dedicated fans might prefer “Armpit #6” or “(She Put The) Whammee (On Me).”

The forerunner to Alice Cooper, Kiss, Marilyn Manson and more!!

It’s a show that will haunt you for a long time!!

Matt Baker - A Rhapsody of Gershwin

Matt Baker Rhapsody of GershwinNew York/Australian jazz pianist Matt Baker returns to the stage with a brand new project, “A Rhapsody of Gershwin”.

Presenting a whole new spin on the music of one of America’s most celebrated composers, this is all Gershwin interpreted like never before, with an all-star line-up from the heart of New York’s jazz scene.

The project brings Rhapsody in Blue to the jazz stage, featuring the original piano score arranged and accompanied by the trio, with voice singing some of the classic orchestral themes throughout. The performance opens with the Rhapsody’s true classical-esque beginning and closes with its grand, majestic ending.

The show comprises music from Crazy for You, Porgy and Bess, An American in Paris and Concerto in F, plus other exciting gems from the classical and popular worlds of George Gershwin.

Some of the program includes specifically: The man I love, Embraceable You, There’s a boat that's leaving soon for New York, Summertime, an I Got Rhythm/Fascinating Rhythm medley and Home Blues, plus a selection of themes from the Concerto in F and Rhapsody, all together in an exciting, swinging and entertaining program
Matt Baker Short Bio

Matt Baker’s sideman credits include touring and performing with vocalists Ann Hampton Callaway, Jennifer Holliday, Patti LaBelle, Veronica Swift (2015 Monk competition winner), Tierney Sutton, Arianna Neikrug (2015 Sarah Vaughan competition winner) and Judy Collins, as well as guitar icon Bucky Pizzarelli and tenor saxophonist Joel Frahm.

Matt Baker was an award winner in the 2003 Montreux International Solo Jazz Piano competition. Originally from Australia, Matt has called New York City home since 2010, performs at jazz venues throughout the city and abroad and in 2017 released his latest DVD album “Live at Birdland”.
